We had to pre-order our order the day before. This was ok. However, we sat down and ordered drinks. Our
starter was on the table. When we finished our starter the main course arrived.
Going out for a meal with family you like to order drinks and then our starter. It wasn't a very relaxing time.

I've stayed here twice for work. It's a great wee hotel and I recoend it. Decent room and decent pub grub. Overall clean and does what it should. Also a hotel with a window that fully opens to allow air in, great stuff. Decent car park and nearby shop and chemist. Good bar and restaurant with the normal beers on offer. Made to feel welcome from the off. It's perhaps a little dated but clean and welcoming.
Although I don't understand why facilities are supplied and don't work? In room safe not working nor was the fridge. A fridge is a great idea but pointless if it doesn't work. Fell in the shower as well, it's like standing on ice, incredibly slippy and dangerous. Also the in room safe was filthy? Very distasteful. Attention to detail is needed?
On the plus, the room is clean and well supplied but no consideration given to diabetics either in the room or restaurant, no sweetener option available.

This place is lovely immaculately clean bestest food all home made my ribeye steak melted in my mouth breakfast was delicious stayed there last night again staff are amazingly warm and friendly I would recommend and go again keep up the good work

Nous avons passés une nuit Au Leys Hôtel.
Notre expérience fût bonne. L'accueil était un peu froid à la réception au début mais les autres salariés de l'établissement et le restaurant Betty's nous ont vite fait oublier tout ceci.
Le repas et le petit déjeuner était très bon. On a passé un agréable moment.
Merci à la jeune serveuse brune le soir de notre arrivée et au jeune homme brun le lendemain matin.
On recommande cet établissement.

Nous nous sommes arrêté une nuit pour une étape proche du château de Dunnottar en venant d'Édimbourg et avant de partir vers le Loch Ness. L'hôtel est "familiale" autant dans sa déco que dans l'accueil et la restauration. Un peu "frais" de prime abord, on se familiarise vite avec le "staff" qui s'occupe ensuite très bien des clients. Les chambres sont spacieuses, un peu "passées" en terme de déco, mais propres et fonctionnelle. Les salles de bain ont été rénovées. La restauration est simple, généreuse et bien exécutée. Merci 🙂. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Too expensive for what it is. Needs an update asap. Not recommended for vegans. Poor breakfast. Sorry was the worse accommodation that I ever used.

I stayed here for work for two nights in February and was delighted with my large, comfortable room and excellent service. The food was delicious and I'd fully recommend this hotel.

What a fantastic place !! Absolutely lovely staff, food at breakfast and dinner was great, rooms were clean and tidy, great beer and drinks selections, pool tables and dart boards in the lounge, and a lovely cosy vibe ! Will definitely stay again when I'm back in the area ! Thanks for such a great stay !

Spacious room as well as toilet. The bath tub is so inviting but what a shame i don't have time to use it, as we only stop to rest and head again for a long journey. Comfy bed, cozy and with delicious breakfast included, nice ambience.

Up doing courses for work and have stayed here a few times now. I now ask to be put up in leys. The food is great and the accommodation was spacious and very comfortable. Great location with a rural feel but in close proximity to everything you need.

Called to enquire about rooms that had been booked. Spoke to a rude and arrogant woman working the reception phone. Absolutely disgusting way I was spoken to.
